Aldbourne produced a stop-start performance at Swindon, but finally ground out a comfortable 34-17 victory over the home side's third team in a bruising Dorset & Wilts Two North encounter.
After 10 minutes the game looked all over, as the Dabchicks backline ran riot, crossing for three unconverted tries through Gary Sharp, Joe Salcidas and Dave Newham.
After a series of bad-tempered scrums Aldbourne skipper Darren Portlock was sent to the sin-bin for fighting and Swindon pressed home the advantage, using their powerful forwards to register two quick tries of their own.
The match went into half-time in the balance but Aldbourne got back on top early in the second period with a try from James Lawrence.
And they looked to be cruising when Swindon had a man sin-binned.
However, Swindon scored again and it was game on.
With the clock running down though, Lawrence added his second.
And when hooker Phil Comley took an important ball against the head, Lawrence scored from the base of the scrum to complete his treble and wrap up the points for the visitors.
