DAVID DUKE has vowed that the County Ground boo-boys will not send him running for cover.
The Scotsman has been subjected to abuse from a section of the crowd in the last two home matches, shamefully so in the eyes of his manager and many supporters.
Duke himself, although anxious not to make a huge issue of the 'stick', is adamant that it won't cause him sleepless nights.
He said: "I was more upset about making a mistake that led to a goal.
"I'm not going to let it get to me and I don't feel bad.
"You just have to try and distance yourself from it, carry on working hard and giving your all for the team.
"A lot of people have come up to me and said they don't agree with what has happened and that, obviously, is nice."
Duke certainly retains the complete confidence of his manager, who has made it very clear that the Scotsman will continue to be a part of his squad.
