Customers are being invited to visit Ottons Land Rover in Salisbury, from November 1-4, to be among the first to see the award-winning All New Land Rover Discovery 3.
Ottons Land Rover is confident that the vehicle is going to be incredibly popular, particularly as it has undergone an unprecedented and punishing testing regime spanning four million miles and five continents and the dealership has already taken a number of advance orders.
The All New Discovery 3 was put through its paces on a race circuit in Germany, the sand dunes of Dubai, the Australian outback, military off-road tracks in South Africa and England, and the frozen lakes of northern Canada. It finally underwent 12 weeks of almost non-stop testing on the Nardo test track in Italy.
During its demanding testing schedule, the vehicle had to wade through water 700mm deep, climb and descend 45 degree gradients, remain stable when driving across a 35 degree slope and operate in extreme temperatures from minus 40oC to 50oC.
Suzy Otton, marketing manager of Ottons Land Rover, said: ,,The All New Discovery 3 has been put through just about every testing scenario conceivable and has proved itself, without a doubt, to be up to the challenge. Customers know that when they buy the new model they are buying an exceptional vehicle that will carry them across every imaginable terrain, both on road and off, which is what they have come to expect from the brand. We are delighted with the level of interest so far from customers in the region, and are sure demand will increase once the vehicle is out on the roads from Monday next week. PER MILLE
