CHIPPENHAM Under 11s emerged with a win and a defeat from their trip to Dursley.
The squad of 16 were beaten 12-0 in their opening match, but hit back to win the second as Matt Watchman crossed for the only try and Luke Gorman converted.
The under nines played four games against Dursley and managed three wins.
At under seven level, Chippenham were involved in triangular fixtures against the hosts and Thornbury.
Chippenham were able to field three full sides, the A team losing the first 6-4, Jack Utton scored a hat-trick, Oliver Milner adding the other.
In the return fixture, tries from Nicholas McKibben, Utton and Jordan Mosley, could not prevent a 5-3 defeat.
The B team fared slightly better, drawing their opener with Thornbury A 6-6. Tom Douglas, a Jamie Gunn double and scores from Tom Burroughs, Jack Prangle and Ieuan Lloyd were the scorers.
Against Dursley B, a hat-trick of tries from Harrison Brain, and scores for Douglas and Burroughs gave Chippenham their first win of the day.
The C team also enjoyed a win and a draw, the first match ending all square three tries apiece.
Scores came from Ben Lindsey, Kieran Atkin and Ewan Howell.
In the clash against Thornbury, Chippenham edged home 4-3, with touchdowns from Keiran Atkin, Ben Lindsey, Sam Barson and Harry Berning.
