Salisbury claimed a flatteringly comfortable 36-12 victory over an unlucky Devizes Under 15s in their Wiltshire Cup clash.
The 24-point winning margin didn't do justice to Devizes' contribution in a genuinely close contest.
Salibsury were two tries up at half-time and added another early in the second half, but Devizes hit back with an inspirational try of their own from No 8 James Holden.
Salisbury made it 24-5 with another try before an opportunist score scored by Devizes second row Arran Giles and Harry Williams conversion reduced arrears again.
After full-back James Dazeley was harshly adjudged to have knocked on with the try line begging, Devizes' heads went down and Salisbury added two late tries.
n Honours were shared when Wootton Bassett Under 12s visited Warminster for two matches.
Bassett won the first game 12-0 with tries from George Dent and rookie, Tucker Blinkhorn.
The second match was a close contest with the home side winning an exciting affair 18-12.
Patrick Trewin and Gavin Ougan crossed the line for Bassett.
The team were helped by the accurate place kicking of William Earl, who converted all the tries.
