A FORMER Purton resident is urging people to help restore a public track to its original historic width.
Rachel Saunders wants people to write to Wiltshire County Council about land where Hoggs Lane and Witts Lane meet on The Common.
The land was narrowed as a temporary measure to create extra farming land during the World War Two food emergency.
Now the council wants to make the arrangement official and is asking residents for their views before making a decision.
