STARBUCKS will be collecting books for local children in the run-up to Christmas.
Book bins will be placed in the Starbucks stores in the Brunel Centre and the Great Western Designer Outlet Village tomorrow as part of the National Literacy Trust and Starbucks Coffee Company Christmas Book Drive.
Residents are being asked to donate new and nearly-new books which will then be given to a Swindon school.
Celebrities including JK Rowling, above, Davina McCall, Gloria Hunniford, John Craven and the Sugababes have already donated their favourite children's books to the initiative, which aims to collect more than 26,000 books nationwide.
