A TRIP to Tranmere rather than the LDV trophy trail is Andy King's only concern today despite Town having advanced a step closer to silverware.
Last night's 2-1 victory at Exeter City saw Town move into the area quarter-finals of the much-maligned competition.
Just four matches (including a two-legged area final) now separate King's men from a trip to the Millennium Stadium.
However, far from looking at hotel accommodation in the Welsh capital, winning at Prenton Park on Saturday is all that matters to the manager.
He said: "We have Tranmere, then a big FA Cup tie and then Hull.
"The next four or five games are massive."
As for Cardiff, King joked that he might give the final a wide berth.
He said: "Christian Roberts is from Cardiff, I might give that one a miss."
On a serious front, the manager opted for a 3-5-2 formation last night and one option for Saturday could be the inclusion of Matt Heywood as part of a central defensive trio.
King said: "We are conceding too many goals.
"I thought Heywood played very, very well. The opportunity was there for him to put a thought in my mind for Saturday and he's done that.
"Winning is a good habit to get into.
"Again we haven't played with the fluency and the quality we can but won a game of football.
"You always get something out of a match, good, bad or indifferent.
"I have to now sit down, think about things and come up with a formation that will allow us to go and get the result at Tranmere that we're well capable of."
The draw for the next round of the LDV Vans Trophy takes place on Saturday with Bristol City possible opponents for a quarter final tie.
