THE University of Bath in Swindon has launched an array of evening classes and day schools for 2005.
Courses such as creative sculpture, setting up a website, and Chinese philosophy, are being run by the university to provide residents with opportunities to discover new interests.
Many of the evening classes have no formal entry requirements all that is required is enthusiasm.
In addition to evening classes, the university will be offering a series of day schools at weekends aimed at making its resources as accessible to as many people as possible.
Courses include workshops in creative writing and art, IT courses for business and leisure and mind and body courses including one entitled Meditation For Busy Minds.
Professor Glynis Breakwell, the university's vice-chancellor, said: "Spring is around the corner and what better way could there be of celebrating the arrival of a new year than to discover something new or revive old interests?"
