WALCOT residents will elect a new councillor on Thursday, February 3.
The by-election was sparked when Laura Holiday, Conservative councillor for the ward, resigned in December.
The polls will be open from 8am to 9pm on February 3.
Residents wanting a postal vote must submit a completed application form by 5pm on Wednesday, January 26.
Application forms are available from the electoral registration officer at the Civic Offices, in Euclid Street, or by e-mail from elecreg@swindon.gov.uk or by calling 01793 463543.
Anyone wishing to stand in the election has until noon on Friday to submit completed nomination papers.
They are available from the returning officer at the Civic Offices at Euclid Street or by calling 01793 463543.
The Walcot ward has two seats. Labour councillor Mavis Childs holds the other seat.
