A COUPLE who won £300 in an Evening Advertiser competition have pledged it to the victims.
Aubrey Brown, 40, and Michelle Reeves, 35, of Park South, were among the winners of our Light Up Christmas. And they will be keeping the Christmas lights up this weekend for donations.
The couple have also arranged a van to be parked outside their house to transport goods to the Wroughton Airfield. Builder Mr Brown said: "We were going to go out for a big meal with the money but when this happened we wanted to help.
"This weekend we'll have Santa back at our house so children can come and thank him for their presents and Asda and Co-op have donated prizes for a tombola.
"M4 Vans have given us transport so anyone near here who can't get to Wroughton can bring things to us on Saturday and we'll take it up there.
"We'll raise as much as we can for the victims." The couple were one of four households to receive £300 from British Gas, based on an average annual fuel bill, after judges decided they had the best homes."
