PARTS of the Brunel West multi-storey car park will be closed off for essential work later this month.
The concrete repairs will start on January 17 and run for five weeks, costing £84,000.
The works will be staggered to allow the car park to remain open to the public for the duration of the works but up to 124 of the 627 spaces could be out of action at any one time.
The works will include breaking out areas of defective concrete and replacing with concrete repair mortar and sacrificial anodes, which will help to prolong the life of the embedded steel reinforcement.
The works will be carried out by Concrete Repairs Ltd and supervised by Swindon Borough Council's Civil and Structural Engineering Group.
The standard daily working hours will be from 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 1pm on Saturday.
