PAUL Sturrock has placed his Sheffield Wednesday troops on 'red' alert for a potential Hillsborough ambush from 'bogey team' Swindon Town on Saturday.

Sturrock's Owls are one of League One's hottest teams, blasting 14 goals in their last five matches.

But the canny Scot has already been on the receiving end from Andy King's men twice this season and is wary of notching up a losing hat-trick this weekend.

First, Town fought back from two goals down with 11 minutes left to dramatically win the corresponding league match 3-2 in October.

And little more than a fortnight later, the Yorkshire outfit crashed out 4-1 in the FA Cup first round in Wiltshire.

Wednesday warmed up for Town's visit by thumping four without reply past hapless Wrexham on Monday.

And their five-match unbeaten run also includes a 4-0 pasting of Yorkshire neighbours Doncaster and a draw with high-flying Luton.

But Sturrock warned: "We've got another hard game on Saturday.

"Swindon seem to be our bogey team.

"They've routed us twice and we've got to appreciate there are another three points to fight for. We have to keep on the winning trend.''
