15020/2Furious Leigh villagers believe heavy volumes of traffic have made their road one of the most dangerous in Wiltshire.
Nearly 50 residents living on Swan Lane, near the B4040, have signed a petition protesting about the poor condition of the route.
Campaign leader Betty Wilson said: "It is very dangerous, not just for cars but for horses, motorbikes and children. Over the years we have been promised the road would be repaired but nothing happens.
"In places the potholes in the road are worse than in Bosnia."
Responding to the villagers' concerns, county councillor Carole Soden said: "We have already carried out repairs costing several hundred thousand pounds to the B4040 and the B4696, and Swan Lane is next in the programme. It will be done when we have got enough money."
