WILTSHIRE U18 manager Mel Gingell blasted a warning to the remaining sides in the FA Counties Youth Cup that his side will go on and win the trophy.
The confident manager's prediction comes as his side prepare to take on Suffolk in the quarter-finals at Melksham's Conigre on Saturday (1.30ko).
After an impressive 2-1 victory over last year's finalist North Riding Gingell insists he has the best side since he took over as boss three years ago.
He said: "We have every chance of winning the cup and I believe we have a group of players that can go all the way to the final.
"We have Scott Lye, Jamie Lyons and Jan Klukowski who are England Schoolboys, Matt Bound who has played one game for the Forest Green senior side, Matt Bennett who is netting constantly in this competition and a handful of Western League regulars."
The youth side are the only Wiltshire team left in an FA competition, and the manager feels his side have already massed a great achievement.
"We have already matched our record in this competition and have the chance to get into the semi-finals," said the proud boss.
"I see no reason why we cannot progress to the final, I have that much confidence in my side.
"These boys would give most Screwfix sides a run for their money."
Gingell's team have a tough task ahead of them as they face an in-form Suffolk. They beat last years winners Durham in the last round 3-2 and are among the favourites to lift the trophy.
Gingell is prepared for the crucial match and has done his homework.
He said: "I spoke to the Durham manager David Cleary and he gave me some advice. Suffolk have a lad that can score free kicks so we will be working on defending set pieces.
"This is a massive game for the team, I don't think the boys will ever get another opportunity to lift an FA Trophy."
The match has drawn a lot of local interest and Gingell said he would be disappointed if he did not see at least 200 people at the game.
