ELDERLY residents in Moredon have raised £200 for victims of the tsunami. Residents in sheltered accommodation at William Robins Court raised the money with a door-to-door collection. Warden Pat Clarke said she hoped the residents' generosity would encourage other people to donate.
RESIDENTS of Wootton Bassett will be able to contribute to the Disaster Emergency Committee appeal at a social evening in the town tomorrow which will include an auction of promises. A SWINDON recruitment company is offering to transport volunteers to the tsunami relief effort at RAF Wroughton. C&D Recruitment, in Regent Circus, will put on free coaches from the town centre to Wroughton on Saturday and Sunday. Volunteers are packing supplies to be sent to Sri Lanka.The coaches will leave the town centre at 8am and leave Wroughton at 4pm. Anyone interested should contact C&D Recruitment on 01793 488057.
