A DRINK-DRIVER who was more than three times over the limit has received a lengthy ban.
Nathan Pilcher was banned for 31 months at Swindon Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Police, who smelt alcohol on the 28-year-old's breath, tested him by the roadside after a two-vehicle smash in Whitworth Road, Swindon on October 24.
Andy Pritchard, prosecuting, said: "Police attended the accident at quarter to seven on Sunday morning.
"The roadside breath test was positive and he was taken to the police station."
Further samples recorded a level of 109mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath the legal limit is 35mg. Pilcher was given the chance of reducing his ban to 24 months if he successfully completed a rehabilitation course.
He was also handed a £800 fine and ordered to pay £43 costs.
