VIRTUAL Reality has the capability of projecting people in to new and exciting worlds.
Now Swindon will host a debate on how it could be used to transform our lives.
The Swindon Branch of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, the UK's leading professional engineering organisation, will present its annual lecture at the De Vere Hotel on Tuesday, January 18 at 7pm. The event is free and open to the public.
Professor Bob Stone, one of Europe's Virtual Reality experts, will explore the technology and its uses.
Professor Stone said: "Virtual Reality allows individuals to extend and enrich their perceptions without engaging with 'the real world'. Virtual Reality has the potential to revolutionise many current applications in leisure, education and training, medicine, travel, and the way we work.
"To be effective, however, it does require the latest in current computer technology."
