KIND-hearted youngsters are organising a bring and buy sale to raise money.
The children from Broad Hinton C of E School have been collecting bags of items to sell since finding out about the disaster.
And they are responsible for every aspect of the event, including booking the school hall, organising a budget and writing letters to parents .
Headteacher Jo Pitchforth, said: "The children are very independent and very with it.
"They have been highly organised and came up with the whole idea themselves.
"There are already quite a few bags of things to sell but they still need more."
At the bring and buy sale, as well as stalls, the children hope to set up a tombola and a raffle.
The school held a special prayer session yesterday morning to remember the victims.
Ms Pitchforth said: "It was particularly poignant because three of four children knew people who had been involved in it through their parents.
"Some of them spoke about their personal experiences of the tragedy."
The children who are organising the sale are Emma Grover, eight, Phoebe Keith, seven, Charlotte Leigh, eight, Emma Whitworth, nine, Abigail Kromer, eight, Hannah Frame, seven, Rachel Burnett, seven, Florence Miller, eight, eight-year-old twins Maddy and Isobel Griffiths, Tesni Beautyman, seven, and Laura Yeoman and Alex Rothery, both 11.
The sale takes place at the school on Friday January 21 from 3pm. Anyone who can help out should contact the school on 01793 731 262.
Other schools across Swindon say they are hoping to hold fundraising events and are currently coming up with ideas.
