16391/5EMERGENCY crews were called to a crash at an accident blackspot in Bradford on Avon on Monday.
A Ford Fiesta and a red Peugeot 309, both from Trowbridge, collided at the Leigh Park crossroads at 1.30pm.
A man in his eighties was trapped in his Peugeot and firefighters from Trowbridge cut him free.
Ambulance personnel were called to the scene and two women in their sixties, who were both in the Fiesta, were taken to the Royal United Hospital, Bath, with minor injuries.
The road was blocked while the cars were removed from the scene, but reopened at 2.15pm.
