THE Post Office has vowed to capture a significant slice of the home telephone market by launching its own residential service.
It claims HomePhone's call charges would be up to a fifth cheaper than British Telecom, with a single bill for both calls and line rental.
The new service aims to sign up one million customers by 2008.
