SWINDON Council is inviting over 60-year-olds living in existing council houses and flats, those living in privately rented or owned homes or those living outside the borough, to apply for a place in sheltered retirement houses.
The homes contain a resident warden and 24-hour emergency support from Homeline, the council's community alarm system.
They are let unfurnished and are totally self-contained.
They also contain communal facilities where some social events are held.
To find out more contact the housing department on 01793 463181.
Each flat is one bed roomed and has a kitchen, bathroom and lounge.
The sheltered housing schemes are in north, south and West Swindon.
