PUPILS and parents can find out how their school is ranked in new league tables out this week.
The Department for Education is releasing its league tables for secondary schools across the country on Thursday.
Last year parents learnt that while schools in Swindon were improving nearly twice as fast as the rest of the country, more work was needed to get the borough up to the national average. A-level results were lagging further behind than GCSE results.
The primary school league tables, published in December, brought good news for many Swindon schools.
Two schools South Marston and Haydonleigh were among the most improved schools in the country while three Nythe, Eldene and Moredon Juniors were in the top five per cent for improving pupils' performance.
Swindon moved up to be ranked 61st out of 150 education authorities in the country.
