THE South East Asian tsunami disaster has evoked an overwhelming response from the public and we would like to thank readers who have given so generously.
The Charities Aid Foundation is helping ensure funds get to organisations working on the ground by supporting the Disasters Emergency Committee's public appeal to provide water, food and shelter to victims.
CAF is uniquely placed to ensure aid agencies receive the maximum possible funding by promoting tax-efficient giving through Gift Aid and personal charity accounts, boosting most donations by an average of 28p in the pound.
CAF charity account holders can have their gift transferred to the DEC or any charity working in the area.
New givers can have a Charity Account set up in their name, enabling CAF to claim back tax paid, ensuring the maximum amount possible goes to help the people of South East Asia.
