IT was a red letter day for Rodbourne A, who gained their first Division One win of the season at the weekend.

And they did it the hard way. Down to 10 men, they beat Eastville 1-0 with a goal from Lewis Molyneaux.

Ramsbury beat Down Ampney Reserves 4-3, Jez Martin (2), Nick Woodward and Steve Tippens scoring for the victors. On target for Ampney were Martin Grace, Rob Quick and Ray McGrory.

Dean Scott fired in a hat-trick for Merlin as they beat Westlecott 4-2. Mike Ockwell got the other.

Queenstown overcame Spectrum 3-1, Rene Jepson, Duncan Culley and Trevor Baker scoring.

Swindon Asians eased past 10-man Walcot 4-0, with goals from Ranjit Randhawa (2), Peter Golding and Travis Dhillon.

Trailers gained a 2-1 victory over Abbey Rodbourne Reserves. Trailers goals came from Lee Hedges and Gary Chappell, Kelvin Spencer replying.

In the Premier Division, Southbrook romped to an 11-0 win over struggling Lower Stratton. Lewis Polden, Gareth Walton, Wayne Savory and Kevin Dettmar each scored twice, with the others coming from Dave Prichard, Jamie Packer and Lee Johnson.

Zurich had a comfortable 8-1 win over Rodbourne Reserves, Vince Meredith firing in four, with others from Andy White, Dan Godwin, Craig Alexander and Andrew Drinkwater.

Ridgeway squeezed past Green Baize A 2-1. Paul Ausden scored both for the winners, with Derrick Pedley replying.

Jamie Scanlon grabbed a hat-trick for Queensfield in their game against South Marston, Peter Smith scoring the other as Queensfield won 4-0.

Manor went down 3-2 to Liden Pumas, whose scorers were Danny Tompkins, Mark Gale and Chris Hacker. On target for the Manor were Grant Songhurst and Kieran Cronin.

Regent beat Liden Arms 3-0 with goals from Tony Sardo, Richard Plumb and Michael Corcoran.
