AS his more famous namesake returned to the top of the hit parade, another Presley was turning it on for his Sunday league side.

Wayne Presley grabbed four goals to help his team sink South Marston 6-0 in Division Three. Chris Norman and Tom Etheridge added the other goals.

Fox & Hounds won 2-1 at Dynamo Ashton with Neil Lee and Marc Connelly on the scoresheet. Lee Harris replied for Ashton.

Nationwide were on the wrong end of a nine-goal thriller at home to Wanborough, with their goals coming from Phil O'Farrell, Paul Shopland, Barry Sheddon and an own goal to go down 5-4.

A brace for Rob Staynings and one for Darren Painter enabled Red Lion Inn to defeat Windmill 3-1.

DIVISION ONE

IT was a good start to the year for Carriers Arms, who lifted themselves up from joint bottom with a 4-2 away victory at Haydon Wick WMC, Jason Thompson and Scott Rouse scored for the Wick.

Division 2

Kevin Coles netted four times for second placed County Ground as they beat Alanbrooke 5-0. Liam Humphreys also scored.

Third-placed Swindon West Indians won 7-1 at npower with James McCarthy grabbing a hat-trick, a double for Luke Chambers and one each for Vince Elliott and Devon McCalla. Ash Andrews replied.

Division 4

Highworth Swindon Fencing had an excellent 5-1 win at Angel Inn to join them in joint second place. Stuart Ballinger scored the solitary Angel goal.

Auto Colour won 1-0 at Rat Trap.

Division 5

FC Lava Lounge had a tremendous 5-1 win at Halcrow.

Dave Ford with a couple, Andy Willis, Andy Drinkwater and Dale Smith all scored and Tim Hughes replied for Halcrow.

Rory Trevest netted a second half winner for leaders Intel to win 2-1 at Castrol Chiseldon. Kaleeq Hafeez had earlier scored for Intel as had Jake Henly for Castrol.

RJK Ferndale beat Lamb Marlborough 6-1 to stay in second spot. Aaron Kaye, Jon Dixon, Andy Green and a hat-trick for Danny Scotford all scored for Dale, while Steve Ellison replied for Lamb.

In third place are Deers Leap, who won 4-2 at Village Inn. John Cole, Dennis King and Paul Loveridge with a double saw the Leap home, with Bryan Watson and Dave Whitbread replying for the Village.

Two late goals for James Street helped KMLC to a 3-1 home win against Philip Andrews Estate Agents. Ash Bradshaw had put KMLC 1-0 in front.

Division 6

Warren Fuller scored twice as Nine Elms won 3-1 at Kingsdown United. Paul Webb netted the other, and Richard Ricks replied for Kingsdown.

Chesters won 6-1 at AFC Southside with Nathan Over scoring for Southside.

Division 7

Famous Ale House had a tremendous 6-1 win at second-placed Dennis Removals.

There were doubles for Alan Hawthorne and Nigel Baker and singles for Mark Jolly and Shane Spencer.

In the top versus bottom game, Queenstown demolished Horse & Jockey 12-0 with Rick Walklett, Rob Wallace, Tom Green, Adam Whitefield, Shaun Smith,Trevor Baker and Gary Mcgunigall all scoring, plus a double for Duncan Culley and a hat-trick for Darren Johnson.

Blueprint were held to a goalless draw at home to Swindon City.

Daniel Johnson and Paul Barrett grabbed the goals for AFC Officewise in their 2-0 win at AFC Royston.

Moredon Cheney defeated GTS 5-0 with Matthew Watmore scoring two, Gary Gleed with one and a 25-yarder from Matt Tyler and an own goal.

Division 8

With the top two teams, Green Baize United and APS Mortgages, without a fixture, third-placed West Swindon Sunday slumped to a 4-0 home defeat against Stratton United.

Tom Heinz added another couple to his tally with Adam Pfleger and Paul Hughes scoring for Stratton.

Wayne Petrie scored for Cats in their 1-1 home draw with Eldene Social Club.

Coleview and Smart Movers drew 2-2 with the goals for Gary Smith and Scott Carter being cancelled out by Dean Ainscow and Craig Smith of Smart Movers.

Classic Paving won 12-1 at bottom club West Swindon Wanderers. On the scoresheet were Rob Walker with two, a four-timer for Martin Swadden, Darren Brown with a hat- trick, Darren Swadden, Matt Hollingshead and an own goal.

Sandgate won 6-1 at Bear Marlborough with Charlie Bodel scoring for Bear.
