A BRAZEN thief has been jailed after trying to walk out of a Swindon town centre shop with a TV to feed his drug habit.
And Jo Bambrick's accomplice, Susan Baker, has been warned by Swindon Magistrates that she faces jail when she is sentenced later this month.
Bambrick, 26, of Park North, and Baker, 20, of Drakes Way in Walcot, admitted walking into Boots in Brunel Plaza on December 31, last year, picking up TV worth £249.
They were both stopped by a security guard as they were trying to leave the shopping precinct.
The court heard how Bambrick had been found guilty of two previous similar offences taking a DVD player from Curry's and a power washer from Halford's.
Bambrick was given an 18-month conditional discharge and was told that this latest offence was in breach of that conditional discharge.
The court was told that both Bambrick and Baker stole the TV to feed their heroin habit.
Magistrates sentenced Bambrick to three months imprisonment and also disqualified him from driving for 18 months for a separate offence.
Baker had been released on bail on condition she did not enter any Swindon shops after the theft of the television.
But she pleaded guilty to breaking those conditions.
She was remanded in custody for a week for pre-sentence reports.
Baker, who was warned that she faces imprisonment, will appear at Swindon Magistrates Court on Wednesday, January 26 for sentencing.
