The Swindon Volunteer Centre is urging Swindon residents to become volunteers as part of their New Year Resolutions.
Volunteers are needed for a variety of projects across the town according to organisers.
There are opportunities to work with older people, disabled people, those with learning difficulties, people with mental health problems and families who are struggling to cope.
The roles on offer include becoming a befriender or a mentor, helping out in a drop in or day centre, environmental work or driving people to appointments.
The volunteering can take place at weekends, evenings or during the day time either in regular slots.
Anyone who would like to find out more should contact the centre on 01793 420 557 or email info@swindonvolunteers.org.uk.
Alternatively drop in to number one John Street between 11am and 3pm Monday to Fridays.
