THE Environment Agency is taking Thames Water to court over allegations the company polluted the River Ray in Swindon, killing thousands of fish at Pipers Way.
The agency alleges that Thames water was responsible for discharging untreated sewage into the river.
The company faces a fine of up to £20,000.
The case was due to be heard today by Swindon magistrates.
