CHIPPENHAM began the New Year in lacklustre fashion and by the time they got into the game it was too late to save it.
The goals for the home side in the first half were conceded due to a mixture of ball watching, soft defending andgeneral rustiness .
Chippenham managed to reduce the deficit to just one goal and went onto redeem themselves in the second half. They produced some much improved passages of play but squandered some relatively easy chances to really test the Cirencester goalkeeper. But it was too little, too late.
The Chippenham goals were scored by Dave Joyce and Matt Cloke but on this result, the 2nd team now find themselves sitting in mid-table.
