TITLE-CHASING Calne left manager Kelvin Highmore frustrated when they missed the opportunity to go top.
With leaders Radstock Town going down 2-0 at home to strugglers Minehead, Calne would have leapfrogged them with a win.
Highmore saw his team throw away a stack of chances to seal victory after James Lye had put them ahead.
Highmore was left to rue the misses against their third-placed visitors.
He said: "They came here to get a draw and done the job. I see this game as two points lost not a point gained. We passed up a great opportunity to put pressure on Radstock, as we still have three games in hand over them.
"We took the game to Willand and looked like the only team that would score. Our defence has been superb this season but unfortunately a mistake let them back into the game."
The boss was happy that Calne extended their unbeaten run. Their last defeat came at the hands of title rivals Radstock in October.
"We are still the team to beat at home, seeing Willand were the title favourites we have come a long way this season."
For the first 20 minutes the ball stayed in the Willand half with Calne looking for an early opener.
The break through came on 16 minutes when influential midfielder Ben Moore laid a perfect cross to Lye and he crashed the ball in from 15 yards out.
Calne took their foot off the gas and immediately let their guests back into the game.
A long free kick from midfielder Ian Pratchett flew past the home defence and right to marksman Steve Shore who swept in the equaliser.
The last five minutes of the half were frantic with Willand creating their best chance of the game to take the lead, but rock solid shot stopper Gareth Evans superbly saved a fierce shot from striker Danny Jee.
Calne responded and had a flurry of shots on goal.
Screwfix top scorer Glenn Armstrong fired wide from a tight angle, Moore blasted over from 12 yards and on the stroke of half time forward Matt Pratley blazed a volley over.
During the interval Willand decided to change their formation.
The change of tactics worked as the visitors retained the ball for most of the first 20 minutes.
Calne recomposed themselves and sent a barrage of shots at goal. All that stood between them and victory was visiting goalkeeper Brian Cann.
First he tipped a header by Pratley over the bar.
Then Pratley was through one on one with Cann but the keeper dashed out of his goal and threw himself at the feet of the striker.
Willand did manage one attack on the home goal with seven minutes remaining.
A corner kick from Shore fell in the box, the Willand players scrambled to get it over the line but captain Ryan Pratley made an important goal line clearance.
The Willand players surrounded the referee and claimed it went over the line, but the man in black waved play on.
Armstrong and Moore were both guilty of wasting chances to win the games towards the end as they both fired wide.
Highmore admits he left Bremhill View frustrated but is looking forward to a break in the league, as Calne face Salisbury side Downton at home in the Wiltshire Cup on Saturday.
He said: "It will be nice to take a break from the league but I have an eye on our next league game against Elmore in two weeks time."
