HOTSHOT Andy Wicks was in bit of a rush on Sunday as he hit an astonishing four-minute hat trick.
Organisers at the Chippenham Sunday League rummaged through record books to discover Wicks' three goals are the fastest in the league's history.
He beat Scott Evans who netted a hat-trick in the first seven minutes of Christian Malford's match against Westend Wanderers in 2001.
His record-breaking treble for Sherston FC was scored in a dramatic 13-goal thriller against All Cannings. The scores were tied at 5-5 before the marksman netted three times to win the game 8-5. He admitted he was lucky to score the third.
He said: "I was out wide on the touch line. It was a complete fluke and the whole team ran and jumped on me it was a great feeling."
