GAZETTE & HERALD: Martial arts expert Paul Stubbs will be bringing the discipline of Ninjutsu to Calne to teach local people ancient methods of self defence.
Mr Stubbs, who is a 6th Dan Black Belt Bujinkan Ninjutsu and master instructor of the Bujin Black Belt Academy, said Ninjutsu was suitable for anyone to learn male and female, all ages and all levels of fitness.
"Ninjutsu or Budo tai jutsu is a complete system of self defence. We draw upon the skills of nine ancient martial arts, which were once the skills of the Samurai and Ninja," he said.
"The essence of these nine schools has been combined to create an art form that covers all aspects of personal safety."
The system is purely for self defence rather than for sport so there are no competitions.
Since 1995 Mr Stubbs has taught Ninjutsu and trained with Special Forces personnel, police officers and bodyguards.
