GAZETTE & HERALD: EIGHT self-confessed adrenaline junkies from John Bentley School in Calne have launched a website to promote all-terrain boarding.
Also known as mountain boarding, the group practise on the Cherhill Downs and at the All-Terrain Boarding Centre at All Cannings. Now they are hoping to attract more people to support a centre in the Chippenham area.
All-terrain boards are similar to skateboards but are about one-metre in length, and larger wheels.
They are mainly used for racing downhill on grass or dirt and the group's web address is www.calneatb.co.uk
Marcus Woodbridge, 15, from Goatacre, said: "It's quite different but I definitely prefer it to skateboarding."
