FORMER accounts manager Andrew Walker who downloaded child pornography off the Internet, appeared at Devizes Magistrates' Court on Tuesday on five charges.
Walker, 32, formerly of Devizes and now of Compton Close, Reading, was arrested as part of Operation Ore, the police operation to catch people accessing and downloading child pornography.
Walker pleaded guilty to four charges of making an indecent photograph of a child on September 22 2002, and one charge of possessing four indecent photographs of children on November 26 2002.
The court heard that police were given Walker's details when they were found on a US Internet site, which provided access to images of child abuse. Police searched his home and seized floppy discs containing images of very young girls engaging in sexual activity with adult men.
Emm Wrench, defending, asked for a psychological report to be done. She said: "This is a defendant who has had some medical problems of a psychological nature." Walker has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register.
The case was adjourned to March 7 at Andover Magistrates Court.
