TEENAGER Christopher Holborow was caught drink driving while riding on a quad bike. Holborow, 18, of Temple Farm, Rockley, was seen by police at 2.05am on December 23 on the A338 at Collingbourne Kingston.

The police stopped him and asked him to take a roadside breath test after they smelt alcohol on his breath. He was found to be just over twice the legal limit.

Holborow pleaded guilty to drink driving and riding the quad bike with no insurance when he appeared at Devizes Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Trevor Line, defending, said: "Mr Holborow had been to a party that evening and had gone home, but for some reason, which he can't explain, he decided to go out on his quad bike."

He said Holborow had lost his job as a gamekeeper as a result of the offence.

Magistrates disqualified him from driving for 21 months.

He was also fined a total of £200 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £34.
