A DREAM to build an adventure playground in Penhill and Pinehurst could fade unless more people volunteer to help raise funds.
Community action group Twist is hoping to build a £150,000 facility at Seven Fields Park.
The park's paddling pool closed several years ago because of vandalism, and parents say the estate lacks recreational facilities.
And the group, which meets monthly, is urging people to come forward to help form a committee and raise funds.
Twist Project secretary Jo Harrison said: "Without volunteers we are going to fail. Until we have a proper committee we are not going to be taken seriously.
"We need more help to get this project up and running."
Play workers at Swindon Council, who are keen for youngsters to get involved, are guiding the project. Children have made suggestions for equipment and once a committee is formed funding could come from the National Lottery and the Government. Ward councillor, Ray Ballman (Lab Gorse Hill and Pinehurst) said: "It's important children have quality facilities." To volunteer call 07759 739989.
