15092/1FOR a second year Rose Rawlins has had a birthday greeting from the Queen sent to her home in Marlborough.
Mrs Rawlins, who lives in The Priory sheltered accommodation, was 101 on Monday.
She had two important visitors during the day, the Marchioness of Lansdowne who is the Wiltshire Blind Association's president, and the Mayor of Marlborough, Coun Graham Francis.
Mrs Rawlins had members of her family and other residents join her for a tea party at the Priory where she has lived since 1975. Her son, David, and daughter, Rosemary, attended the tea party together with the mayor and his wife, Adrienne.
