GAZETTE & HERALD: Staff and residents at Seymour House organised a surprise party for dedicated care leader Sue Carter, to celebrate her 30 years work at the residential home.
Mrs Carter, 50, of Elmwood, Chippenham, has spent three decades caring for elderly people at the home at Monkton Park, run by the Order of St John Care Trust.
The trust is a non-profit making organisation that ploughs any profits back into its care homes.
She was surprised and delighted by the party held at the care home recently.
She said: "I do enjoy being with the residents. The job has changed a bit over the years. When I first joined some residents shared rooms now everyone has their own.
"I do more of the office work and administration work now and less of the hands-on care work.
"I think Seymour House has a very nice atmosphere," she added.
