GAZETTE & HERALD: T-SHIRTS in memory of a much-loved Foxham mum who died of cancer in October have gone on sale this week.

Sally Watson, who was 57 when she died, spent most of the last year of her life at Dorothy House Hospice after breast cancer spread to other parts of her body.

Each year family friend Adam Lloyd, from Christian Malford, designs a T-shirt to celebrate a big sporting event and this year he decided to pay tribute to the mother-of-two.

"I started making the shirts as a bit of a giggle after Euro 96," he said. "After what happened to Sal, we wanted to say thank you to Dorothy House for looking after her. It's what she would have wanted."

This year the T-shirts will be supporting the Lions' rugby tour of New Zealand, with the Dorothy House logo and tribute to Mrs Watson on the sleeve.

"I usually charge £6 or £7 just to cover the printing costs, but I thought we could round that up to £10 and give Dorothy House the profits," he said.

"I'd be chuffed if I made £1,000. That would mean selling 300 T-shirts and would beat my record of 360 for the football World Cup in 1998."

Orders can be placed until mid April and will be ready in early May. They can be ordered from the Mermaid Inn in Christian Malford, the Wellesley Arms in Sutton Benger, the White Horse in Biddestone or from the Dorothy House shop in Chippenham.
