THIS letter is for the benefit of the person who rode their horse on the pavement at Hilperton Marsh on Sunday and left a large pile of manure there.
Who is supposed to pick it up? Would it have been beyond your capability to dismount and at least kick it into the road, and what makes you think you have the right to ride on the pavement in the first place?
If you are not competent to ride and control your horse on the road, then I suggest you sell it and buy a bicycle instead and yes, I do know a bit about horses, my children and grandchildren all had horses for years and I would be ashamed to think they would be so ignorant and inconsiderate.
Incidentally, if my dog fouled the pavement I would be fined if I was seen to leave it there.
MRS J MILES
