A SURPRISE 60th birthday party for a Trowbridge musician raised £180 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Dave Smith, of Cedar Grove, thought he was going to play a charity music gig.
Instead, he discovered his family had planned a surprise birthday party for him at the Westbury Labour Club.
Mr Smith, well known for playing in local bands including Blackhearts, Gogs and The Reefers, was surprised to find old friends and lots of family members waiting for him.
Mr Smith said: "I would like to thank everybody who came to the party and donated money."
