A WEB designer from Semington has been living the rock and roll lifestyle by producing the official website for former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown.
Former George Ward School pupil Jamie McDine has been working with Oasis star Noel Gallagher to help produce the website for Ian Brown's new album Solarized, and the single Time Is My Everything, which is released on Monday.
The 26-year-old, of Little Marsh, has spent the last four years working behind the scenes with his music idol producing the site, interviewing stars like Gallagher, James Lavelle from U.N.K.L.E, producer Inder Goldfinger and Ian Brown himself for video clips featured on the website.
Mr McDine, who has won awards for his short films, said he had enjoyed the four years he had spent getting to know the singer.
"It has been an unbelievable experience to be working with my favourite musicians, to produce something truly wonderful," he said.
"I am really proud of my work and feel that it really does Ian and the album justice.
"Designing and programming the website was quite complicated at times, but very enjoyable.
"The website had over three million hits in the first three weeks it was online, which is astounding, but also very exciting that my work is being seen by such a huge amount of people worldwide."
Mr McDine's friend Mick Knaggs helped with the website by writing the content, allowing him to concentrate on the technical elements.
He picked up an accolade at a regional film festival in Magdeburg, Germany, last year for his first short film in a foreign language, scooping the public's prize for best film.
Mr McDine said working with Ian Brown was the highlight of his career so far, but he was unconvinced the singer's new single would find favour in a pop-dominated market.
"It is an honour for me to have produced something that reflects the best record I have heard in a long time," he said.
"I just hope its quality can be reflected with a good chart performance, although I'm not sure the single-buying public are necessarily an Ian Brown audience."
