Thamesdown Transport is extending the route of one its bus services from Monday.
Service 10 buses travelling along Okus Road will continue beyond the current terminus at Portland Avenue to St Helen's View.
There will also be a new intermediate stop near Tithe Barn Crescent.
Operations director David Burch said: "We have had requests asking for our buses to serve the far end of Okus Road as the present terminus means a long walk for some local residents.
"This extension will run for a six month experimental period and if it is well used could become permanent."
