THE next Great Western Community Forest tree-planting will take place in March.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 5 at Purton Wood in Moulden Hill from 10am to 3pm.
Everyone is invited to go along and help plant about 3,000 trees, adding to the ones planted at the woodland's last event in 2001.
The tree planting will be accompanied by many other activities, such as face painting, children's crafts and various environmental activities.
There will also be refreshments and all the necessary equipment and facilities to enable everyone to get involved.
The tree planting is part of the Tree For All project which is run by the Woodland Trust.
It will follow a week of activity involving more than 420 schoolchildren.
Leaflets giving full details about the tree planting should be available in the coming weeks.
