FOLLOWING the furore over Prince Harry's Nazi costume incident, I write to make the following comments.
First of all I feel it was a very regrettable incident for the royal family whose members served with distinction in World War II.
This was particularly so of Prince Harry's grandparents, her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh when, as a nation, we fought the concept of Nazism.
I watched the Auschwitz Solution on BBC TV (Tuesday, January 11) with shock, despite having seen parts of it before over the years.
It portrayed the abject horror of the Nazis' philosophy.
And it could have happened here in our own country had the Nazis won the war.
It would appear that Prince Harry did not realise the enormity of what he was portraying at that party.
Therefore he should be invited to see this TV episode. I would emphasise the need for him to do just that.
