FOLLOWING the massive success of our benefit gig, the Evening Advertiser is now auctioning off valuable items donated by the stars.
Robbie Williams and Melinda Messenger are among the top names who have donated items for our blind charity auction in aid of tsunami victims.
Our special gig last Friday night raised more than £1,500 and this fundraising total is expected to rocket when each of the lots comes up for grabs.
Among the prizes that readers will be able to bid for is a signed photograph of Robbie Williams, sent in by the great man himself.
Steve Goss, director of international memorabilia, autograph and celebrity-signing shop Infinitely Better in the Brunel Centre, said the picture would be worth about £350.
"Signed photographs of Robbie Williams are very sought after," he said.
"He's a very pleasant guy but just doesn't do much signing. There's not many signed photographs flying around as the people that have them normally keep them.
"A lot of celebrities don't do it it's their prerogative. Some of them just like to have a private face."
There will be other great lots up for grabs this week.
Tomorrow readers will have the chance to bid for a day at Swindon Town Football Club and on Thursday three signed photographs of Billie Piper will be auctioned off.
On Friday, a football shirt signed by Robbie's best mate Jonathan Wilkes will be up for grabs, and finally a dress worn by blonde bombshell Melinda Messenger will be sold off.
Evening Advertiser editor Mark Waldron said readers had a rare chance to own something really special.
"These items are worth a lot of money so we're expecting some huge bids to help boost our appeal which is already over the £2,000 mark," he said.
Friday night's concert at the Goddard Arms Hotel featured musicians from Swindon, including the Greasy Gravy Blues Bank, Locomotion, and Anish and Jimmy who all performed for free and tickets sold out raising £1,578.
A Cash in the Attic sale pushed the total over the £2,000 mark.
Mollie Tanner, of the Tanwood School of Dance and Performing Arts, organised the event on Sunday which raised £500 which has been given to our fundraising effort.
