It was under 17 cup quarter-finals on Sunday with three fixtures played. There were no surprises as the higher placed league side progressed in each case.
Stratton Juniors A were 3-0 winners at Blunsdon Colts, while two goals from Sean Wood and one from Danny Mastalerz saw Liden Community home against Swindon Badgers.
Goals from Rory Sproule (2), Craig Whitbread (2), Ben Rutter, Anthony Cacchio, Steve Nicholls and Tim Hall gave Stratton Juniors B a comfortable passage to the semi-finals, 8-1 against Sherbourne Harriers.
The other tie was postponed due to Shaw's involvement in the County Youth Cup.
The North Wilts & District League's involvement in this FA competition was ended when Shaw went down 7-1 to a Matty Bennett inspired Wootton Bassett Town.
Meanwhile in the league, Wootton Bassett Town A consolidated in fifth place with a comprehensive 11-1 win over Fairford.
Tim Gleed fired a hat-trick, Wayne Matthews, Will Tearle and Gareth Jones all bagged a brace plus there was one apiece for Jamie Riddett and Nick Harrison. Oli Garner scored the consolation for Fairford.
Goals from Junior Small and John Lee edged it 2-1 for Westbrook at home against Ferndale Rodbourne.
Wootton Bassett Town B and Brunel Boys shared four goals and the points, Curtis Whaymand and Michael Yates for Bassett, Matt Boakes and Danny Willcock for Brunel Boys.
Under 14
The top two both won. A solitary goal from Tino Pileggi gave Highworth Juniors B all three points in a tight match with Croft Juniors.
Goals from Max Etheridge, Steven Keir and Jamie Prictor gave Eastville Boys a 3-1 home win over AFC Barbury, for whom Dan Franklin scored the consolation goal.
Third-placed Westlea Wanderers slipped up when they were held to a goalless draw by fourth-placed Brunel Boys.
Shaw closed the gap in fifth spot with a comprehensive win over bottom of the table Penhill Allstars.
In a game that was dominated by the wind, it was Shaw that took an early lead through their captain Daryl Charman despite playing into the wind and up the slope.
It was a good first half for Charman as he completed his hat-trick to put Shaw 3-0 up at half time.
Shaw had other chances to score but the Penhill keeper was in brilliant form and the Penhill back four defended doggedly.
In the second half Shaw quickly made it 4-0 after Steven Cresswell latched onto a good through ball. Although Shaw dominated, Penhill pulled a goal back after a good counter attack to make it 4-1.
Shaw then responded with four more goals. Mark Olner and Laurence Royal scored one each and Charman scored two more to take his tally for the game to five.
Goals from Robbie Hall and Adam Brooks were enough to give Highworth Juniors A a 2-1 home win over Wootton Bassett Town, for whom Ben Curtis scored the consolation goal.
Under 13 KO Cup
holders Amesbury Sports are safely through to the semi-finals after a comfortable 6-0 win at Liden on a difficult playing surface.
Two superb strikes from Tom Plant both inside the penalty area, plus goals from Callum Coker, Lloyd Barr, Tewi Te-Pou and Steven Holvey did the damage for Amesbury against a hard-working Liden side.
Two goals from Todd Hathaway saw Fairford safely through to the last four against Old Town United B.
Shaw had Craig Mooney (2), Dan Watson (2), Olly Jefferies and Luke Underwood to thank for their 6-1 win over Blunsdon Colts.
Malmesbury are the last of the semi-finalists, all four being Division 1 sides, after their excellent 6-3 win over Ferndale Rodbourne A . Joe Harris fired a hat-trick, Kristian Trimble bagged a brace and Kieran Cochrane added another.
Under 13 Division 1
Due to the cup action just two league games were played. Lydiard Youth went joint third after a 5-0 home win over Wroughton courtesy of goals from Chris Spink (2), Kieran O'Driscoll (2) and Jordan Waddle.
Croft Juniors made light work of defeating bottom club Wootton Bassett Town, winning 9-1 thanks to goals from Michael Newman (3), Conor Goldsworthy (2), Sam Burnside, Niall Smith, Niall Kerrigan and Dan Roberts.
Under 13 Division 2
With Liden involved in cup action, Greenmeadow opened up a six-point gap at the top of the table following a 4-2 win at Ferndale Rodbourne B. Jamie Clark scored both Ferndale goals.
Stratton Juniors moved to within a point of second placed Liden with a 4-0 home win over Purton, Callum Miller (2), Jordan Clark and Alex Ortiz doing the damage.
Stratton Youth and Shrivenham & Watchfield both had good away wins. Stratton Youth won 5-2 at Brunel Boys, Harry Seager (2), Darren Taylor, Joe Ranger and an own goal for Stratton, Conor Doble bagging both Brunel goals.
Josh Brown was on form for Shrivenham & Watchfield, netting four times in their 8-3 win at Ramsbury. Simon Jessett added two more, with Rob Brazier and Will Holmes adding one apiece. Scott Kimber (2) and Adam Warner replied for Ramsbury.
Under 12 League Cup
It was a close affair all round in the three cup games that were able to go ahead as scheduled.
Division 1 side Highworth Juniors A won by the odd goal in three away at Division 2 side Lydiard Youth.
The other two matches both went to extra-time having both finished 3-3 at the end of normal time.
It was a day of mixed fortunes for the two Stratton Juniors sides. The B side went down 5-3 after extra time against Division 2 form side Shrivenham & Watchfield. Jeremy Marsh (2) and Will Smyth scored the Stratton Juniors B goals.
Stratton Juniors A meanwhile were involved with another extra-time thriller against Ferndale Rodbourne A, eventually winning 5-4 thanks to goals from Jason Gunnett (2), Steven Mitchell, Jack Gray and Ben Cousins.
The final quarter-final tie between Shaw and Greenmeadow will now take place on January 30 following Friday's disciplinary meeting that confirmed the awarding of the unplayed second round tie to Shaw.
Under 12 Division 1
Shaw closed the gap on leaders Ferndale Rodbourne A with a comfortable 5-0 win over cup opponents Greenmeadow in a rehearsal for the delayed cup quarter-final.
Henry Traas scored twice, Dominic Rekowski, Jay Goddard and Jason Cass adding the other Shaw goals.
Wootton Bassett Town went joint third after a 5-2 home win over Wroughton. Tyler Sheppard and Vince Tapster both netted twice and Brett Fairclough added a fifth for in-form Bassett.
Brunel Boys and Croft Juniors shared six goals and the points, Jake Atkin, Michael Malekides and Craig Beckerlegg finding the net for Brunel.
At the other end of the table Cricklade Youth A moved up a place after a 3-1 win over Ferndale Rodbourne B.
Under 12 Division 2
Fairford showed no mercy to near neighbours Cricklade Youth B running in 16 without reply.
The other two games played were closer, both finishing 2-1. Castle Combe Colts won at home against Swindon Badgers to move above them in the table, while Marlborough Town won by the same score at home against Purton, Jack Copp and Will Mister their scorers.
Under 11 North
With County Cup action this weekend just one game survived in the league, Stratton Juniors scoring 13 without reply at Blunsdon Colts.
In the County Cup, the league's final two representatives are from the North Division in the shape of Highworth Juniors, who defeated fellow North Wilts side Wootton Bassett Town 6-0, and Purton, who again defeated a fellow North Wilts side in Ferndale Rodbourne.
Under 11 West
There was another weekend of close games in the division. AFC Lydiard and Lydiard Youth could not be separated, Jordan Smith scoring for AFC in the 1-1 draw.
Another draw resulted at Fairford, where two Fraser New goals gave the home side a share of the spoils in the 2-2 draw with Greenmeadow.
Two goals from William Patterson plus one from Andrew Lawrence kept Uffington on track for the title at Hungerford, 3-2 the final score.
With Lydiard drawing this allowed Uffington to open up a two point cushion at the top.
Under 11 Central
The top two met at Croft Sports Centre and it was leaders Malmesbury who came away with all three points to open up a five-point lead at the top. On target for them in the fine 2-1 win were Matthew Cootes and Barnaby Kenny.
Eldene Rangers moved above opponents Fairford Youth B into third spot after comprehensively defeating them 8-1, courtesy of hat-tricks from Chris Phillimore and Gregory Webb plus one each for Ryan Goodchild and Ryan Bragg.
Ashton Keynes defeated Highworth Town 3-1, David Maksymuk scoring the Highworth consolation goal.
Goals from Josh Lewis (2), Tom Hogg, Matthew Osbourne and Louis Cormack helped Marlborough Town Youth to a 5-3 win over Penhill Allstars.
Under 10 North
Leaders Wootton Bassett Town were made to work hard for the points by Ashton Keynes. Bassett led 2-0 at the break in what was a close first period.
However, after half time some excellent passing football saw Bassett open up their opponents and score some well worked goals. On target for the leaders were Tom O'Donnell (2), Sebastian Wolsoncroft-Dodds, Josh Shama, Ryan Amos and captain Jack Brain.
Ferndale Rodbourne remain on Bassett's heels in what is becoming a two-horse race with a 2-0 win at Stratton Juniors. Ferndale's two goals came through Liam Gallagher and Jake Johns.
Westbrook were unlucky to meet Greenmeadow A on goal-scoring form, as goals have been hard to find this season for one of last season's most successful sides, but on Sunday Greenmeadow certainly found their shooting boots.
A pair for Jack Townsend, Jonathon Leighfield and Daniel Dicks and an excellent headed goal from left back and captain Jack Gilder finished off a polished performance. Man of the match for Greenmeadow, Daniel Dicks, scored two but also controlled the game against a determined Westbrook side.
Greenmeadow now look forward to an interesting quarter final next week against their B team, who are unbeaten this season. A solitary strike from David Baird for Blunsdon Colts was all that separated the Colts and Swindon Soccer Skills A.
Under 10 West
Leaders Old Town United were held to a 0-0 draw by visitors Purton in what was an excellent match.
This allowed Robins to move within a point of Old Town following a 4-0 away win at Eastville Boys.
Malmesbury went joint third after a 5-0 win at Cirencester Town thanks to goals from Matthew Fusco (2), Max Charman (2) and Ross Morgan.
Marlborough Town join them in third spot after a 3-2 win at Lydiard Youth for whom George Langsbury scored both goals.
Under 10 Central
Goals from Conor Waldon and Scott Price in their 2-0 win over second placed Uffington United maintained Greenmeadow B's unbeaten record ahead of next week's cup showdown with their A side.
Lydiard Youth B moved ahead of Uffington into second place after winning by the same score at Ramsbury, Josh Hillier and Daniel Huntly their scorers.
Fairford moved into fourth spot after they defeated Shrivenham & Watchfield 2-1 on their own patch, Jake Griffiths, normally between the sticks, getting both Fairford goals. Ben Hartman replied for Shrivenham & Watchfield.
John McDonald was on fire at Wanborough, netting six times in Cricklade Youth A's 9-1 win. The other goals came from Jacob King (2) and Ben Smith.
Under 10 South
Leaders Liden Community march on at the top after winning 3-1 at Coleshill Juniors, Jack Payne scoring twice and Ben Barker once.
Highworth Juniors returned to winning ways, hitting four without reply at Croft Juniors B. Two goals for both Michael Pritchard and Fraser New in this one.
The match between the teams in third and fourth spot ended with honours even, Cricklade Youth B and Westbrook B drawing 2-2. Joe Hilliard and Jake Craig scored the goals for Cricklade.
Goals from Ben Knight and Ashley Stagg gave Marlborough Town Youth B a 2-0 win over an improving Minety side.
Second bottom Shaw nearly repeated the previous week's draw when they lost narrowly at home against Highworth Town B. Scorers for Shaw in the 3-4 defeat were Matty Johnson, Jack Duffy and Harrison Batty.
Under 9 North
Leaders Stratton Juniors march on at the top of the table after a 4-0 home win over Purton. Jack Doult (2), Regan Cass and Jack Davies did the damage for the leaders.
Wootton Bassett Town kept in touch in second spot with a 5-0 win over Westlea Wanderers, a hat-trick for Jake Matthews and two for Tyler Amos in this one.
Third-placed Shaw lost ground when they were held at home by Lydiard Youth, Joe Bridgman and Jack Allan netting for Shaw, Michael Norcliffe and Christian Dyton for Lydiard.
FC Abbey Meads won 1-0 at Blunsdon Colts to move above them in the table and out of the bottom two.
Under 9 West
Leaders Robins made no mistake at home against Swindon Badgers winning 15-1. Nathan Crittle and Aaron Dale both hit double hat-tricks for Robins, Corey Horgan bagged a brace and Bradlea Ford added another. James Carter scored the consolation goal for the spirited Badgers side.
Wroughton remain second after a 4-1 win over Ferndale Rodbourne A, Gareth James scoring twice, Will Randell and Tom Padfield getting the other Wroughton goals.
Highworth Juniors A had Connor Simpson (2), Connor Berry and Adam Clarke to thank for their goals against Fairford, while Greenmeadow B and Cricklade Youth could not be separated, two all the final score, with Bradley Caton-Garrett and an own goal for Greenmeadow.
Under 9 Central
Croft Juniors A won the big match at Liden Community, bagging all three points after a 4-1 win. Jamie Stones scored the Liden goal.
Ferndale Rodbourne B join Croft at the top of the table after a 4-0 win at Penhill Knights. Cameron Young notched a hat-trick, and Dan Pretlove got the other.
Swindon Soccer Skills extended their unbeaten run to seven games with a 6-0 win at Ramsbury. Alex Baker got his third hat -trick of the season, scoring four in total with Bradley Byron and Mickey Cook bagging the rest.
Two goals from Bradley Mitchell plus strikes from Ben Peapell and Gareth Hook gave Wanborough a fine 4-1 win over Highworth Juniors B, David Moysey getting the Highworth consolation goal.
Under 9 South
Leaders Old Town United were made to work hard for the three points by visitors Stratton Youth, Old Town eventually edging it by the odd goal in five. James Richardson with two and Robert Baldwin were on target for Old Town.
Blunsdon Colts and Eldene Rangers remain joint second after their respective wins, Blunsdon winning 5-1 at Cirencester Town and Eldene 4-0 at Croft Juniors B, Jaeden Pedley, Bradley Waldron, Charlie Pugh and Ryan King with their goals.
Finally Purton B defeated Penhill Allstars 8-1, William Woodman (4), Rob Cutter (3) and Lewis Cox their scorers.
