A TELEVISION company is searching for people in Swindon to take part in a new documentary.
The Channel 4 programme makers want to meet people who bought their council homes in the 1980s.
The documentary is set to mark the 25th anniversary of the ground-breaking 'right-to-buy' housing policy brought in under Margaret Thatcher in
1980 which gave council tenants the opportunity to purchase their homes for the first time.
Associate producer Michelle Crowley said: "We want to find people from in and around Swindon who bought their council homes in the 1980s and have reaped the benefits.
"It was a life-changing event for some people, they used the purchase of their home as a spring-board to climb the property ladder, start a business or fulfil their dreams in another way. We'd like those people to get in touch."
If you are interested in taking part contact Michelle on 020 7258 6807 or email mcrowley@mentorn.tv.
