15102/1Malmesbury School students will be taking a hands on approach to learning after receiving £150 to buy tools for a vocational skills course.
Halcrow International, a worldwide infrastructure development company, donated the money to pre-vocational skills teacher Paul Thompson.
Mr Thompson teaches students about robotics, mechanics, basic construction and plumbing.
Instead of grades, the students' achievements are recognised by certificates and trophies.
Mr Thompson, who manages the course himself and is responsible for securing funding, said he appreciated Halcrow's contribution because students really enjoyed learning a practical subject.
Mr Thompson said: "The kids love it. It gives a chance for the less academic to shine."
